Winter wedding invite and logo

I created this logo to put on the invitations for my wedding. The monogram is composed with the first letters of our names, H and Y and can be read just the same when upside down. It is in Polish and French. It was embossed in the 200g smooth ivory conqueror paper. Although it was really visible on paper, it is actually really hard to render on picture. The wedding being a winter wedding, I wanted to render the impression of snow, ice and evergreens. The invitation to the ceremony was on conqueror paper, along with the enveloppes while the invitations to the diner were printed on tracing paper, to give the idea of ice. A branch of evergreen was put in the enveloppe to surprise the reader with a smell of winter. Using 3 panels instead of two gave a more elegant shape to the invites, while keeping the traditional layout of wedding invites with the name of the parents of each side inviting at the top. The logo really inspired people. It was displayed on a rotating projector in the venue and several people gave us present with the monogramme either printed, or braided in.
